Over the past three years, our university has overcome COVID-19 by experiencing an innovative digital learning environment beyond the traditional educational methods. We have reached a significant level now.

It is time for us to accumulate innovative educational and research experiences and expand our university's collective intelligence. Consequently, we can make effective and ethical use of AI-human interaction and its outcomes.

SKKU has formed research committees and a task force led by both campuses vice presidents for educational use of ChatGPT, including 1) the development of AI ethical use systems and educational models, 2) proactive prevention of academic misuse and plagiarism from inappropriate AI usage, 3) strengthening education on AI ethics and digital usage capabilities, and 4) developing appropriate assessment methods.

We will strive to address the faced confusion and difficulties faced of our professors and students due to the rapid evolution of ChatGPT and other AI technologies. Thank you all for your commitment in the ever-changing educational environment.
